Become an intern at the DAI!

Are you passionate about American culture? Do you want to learn more about German-American relations? Apply to become an intern at the DAI! We are looking for interns from January 2024 on, and accept applications on a rolling basis.

The Deutsch-Amerikanisches Institut Nürnberg is calling for applicants for an internship at our cultural center and library from January 2024 on. We are interested in working with students from English-speaking Bachelor- and Master-level programs who can support us in the areas of:

Social Media Management

Website Management

PR & Advertisement

Library Assistance

...and more!

Along with gaining experience in these fields, our interns learn about international relations while supporting our numerous cultural and English-language events. Previous interns have been able to meet and learn from international authors, artists, politicians, journalists, professors, and U.S.-American diplomats.

Applicants must be fluent in English and have an interest in the English language and preferably U.S.-American culture as well. Knowledge of German is an advantage. Although interns benefit most from working with us in-person to gain the full experience of everyday work in a nonprofit cultural center, we offer flexible working models that can be tailored to students’ university schedules. The internship is unpaid.

Please see our flyer for more information.

Applicants should send a cover letter, CV/resume, and certificate of enrollment to Kathryn Trotter at trotter@dai-nuernberg.de
