Friends of the German-American Institute

The Friends of the German-American Institute (founded in 1987) supports the work and goals of the DAI and currently has approx. 250 members. Many events that introduce visitors of all age groups to US-American literature, history, and politics and that encourage personal exchange, are funded and facilitated by the Friends of the German-American Institute: For example, every year we support the Battle of the Books, which brings students from across Bavaria to Nuremberg, as well as film screenings, lectures, and Book Discussions or the DAI’s annual Independence Day Party.
